Tickled Pink: 21+ Things on Cupid’s List

Jimmy Choo RED VELVET SANDAL WITH BOW

As I mentioned Valentine’s Day is not my favorite holiday which is surprising because two of my favorite things are 1) Hearts and 2) the color Pink. But while I may not enjoy the forced celebrations, I do love all the shopping that comes with it. Here are a few pink/heart selections and a charming & cheeky recipe from Truman Capote.

Even though I have no idea when or where I will ever wear them, I really want the pink bow Jimmy Choo sandals in the photo above. If you feel the same, you can find them here: Red Velvet Sandal with Bow

Only TRUMAN CAPOTE would consider this a recipe.

This always makes a success and leads to interesting things.

4 baking potatoes

1 pound fresh caviar

1 pint dairy sour cream

2 bottles Champagne

Bake the spuds, split them, and mash them about a bit with gobs of sour cream.

Stuff the whole mess with masses of caviar, and devour between gulps of freezing Champagne.

Turns frothy when it mixes with water, then washes away without drying out skin
Orange Blossom Neroli Blend gives a subtle, baby-fresh scent.

CECIL BEATON’S COCKTAIL BOOK: According to Vogue, this is the ultimate Roaring 20s Cocktail Book – it would make such a great hostess gift for someone who loves fancy cocktails or is an Anglophile like myself.
“The book features classic and tweaked cocktail recipes, contributed by Claridge’s bar manager Denis Broci, which were inspired by Beaton’s social sphere (tag line: “mixing with the bright young things”). The book also includes Beaton’s photographs and archival Claridge’s illustrations, so you can almost feel like you were there to bear witness to the original revelry.” — Kristin Tauer ― WWD
