Feeling Cottage 24: A White Furniture Lover’s Dream

In case you thought I had run out of content to post for Round Hill, Jamaica, fear not. 🙂 For we went last month for Fall Break with two other families and had the best time.

We stayed in an adorable two bedroom cottage that we had never been to before: Cottage 24. It is a classic Jamaican villa with open doorways to allow for ocean breezes, beautiful views, and my favorite feature – rooms filled with white furniture and cushions covered in bright fabric. We learned from the villa staff that Cottage 24 is owned by the same family who own Almond Hill (also happen to be founding members of RH) – one of my favorite villas located outside the Round Hill gates but absolutely beautiful. It has the same feel that I love – simple, classic, vintage, charming decor that has likely been there for years and years. It is also very close to the beach club and restaurants so easy to come and go as you please.

We had a wonderful time as always with daily itineraries as follows: breakfast at our villa, tennis, beach and pool, lunch, swimming, books, naps, tea time, afternoon cocktails, dinner with nightly entertainment, followed by a nightcap (or two)…

Hope you enjoy my travel diary below!

John hates this picture but I love it. We’ve been up since 4 AM and by all rights should be grouchy and tired but we’re in our happy place so we’re all smiles.
Our home for the next four days – boys room is on the right, ours is on the left.

Sweetest little bedside table
This one too – love the cloud pattern and the shape of the legs.
This chair has seen better days but I absolutely love that they haven’t replaced it.

I think this was my favorite feature in the villa – this design is beautiful.
How pretty is this door?

Nice detail on this card table.
Actually this card table might be my favorite. The design, the color combination, the simplicity – it is so pleasing to the eye.

Pink brown & white = love.
Every Jamaican villa I’ve ever stayed in has these gorgeous roofs. I don’t know why I find them so beautiful but I do.
The papaya with lime is all mine.
Bacon, eggs, fruit, pastries, toast, coffee and fresh juice for breakfast. And John had one of each.
The pool is a nice size and the views are incredible. And bonus feature – tile + grass detail.
Fresh flowers daily.
A hammock down from the cottage.
Round Hill’s most loyal patron.
My artiste

We went for breakfast up at the restaurant one day to mix it up – love the views from here.
The tennis at Round Hill is so much fun.
