I know I’m late to the party but “Call My Agent” on Netflix is such a great show. Centered around a talent agency (“ASK”) representing famous French actors and actresses (many of whom make guest appearances), the show chronicles the lives of the agents, their clients, and the hilarious inner workings of the agency. It is funny (as in laugh out loud funny) and real and stylish but best of all is the generous footage of Paris pre-pandemic.
“Call My Agent” has some elements of “The Office” in the sense that individually all the characters are flawed in some form or another but as a group they make perfect sense.
And much like I was never able to decide whether Dwight or Pam or Michael or Stanley was my favorite character, nor can I pick between Noémie, Hervé, Sophia, Gabriel or Andréa. (Although in truth it’s a toss up between Hervé and Noémie.)
I’m almost to Season 4 and I don’t want it to end.
Fair warning, there are subtitles (it is a French show after all) but it is completely worth it.
And because it’s Paris, here’s a list of a few places I want to go when we can travel again.
