While our kids were off at camp this summer, my husband and I took a quick trip to Palm Beach for the weekend. In planning this getaway our requirements were the following:
- Easy to get to
- Close to an ocean
- Not crowded
- Somewhere we could use both airline and Amex points to pay for it
The Four Seasons Palm Beach was the winner. July is obviously the low season in Palm Beach (it’s hot) but being near the ocean was completely enjoyable and not nearly as hot and humid as where we live in Alabama. The hotel wasn’t crowded so they gave us an upgrade on our room, and we were able make reservations at all the normally difficult to get into restaurants.
For our three nights we chose: Renatos, Palm Beach Grill, and La Goulue – Italian, American, and French – perfetto/perfect/parfait!
Other favorites are Buccan, Pizza al Fresco, and Le Bilboquet.
We thought the The Four Seasons Palm Beach was great – highlights included the Adult Pool (although the kids would have loved the larger family pool), the beach, the spa, the service (outstanding – could not have been better), the lunch menus (I wouldn’t have dinner here; more fun to go out), and I really loved the design in the lobby, restaurant, bar and other common areas. It was very pretty, subtle, Palm-Beachy style without being pretentious.
Highly recommend saving up your Amex points and cashing them in for a perfect long weekend. And here are a few end-of-the-season dresses from Zara to put in your suitcase. ☀️
