I’ve just returned from The Southern Coterie (“Southern C”) Summit where I learned about things like “massaging your algorithm”, personal branding, shaping your narrative, mission statements, the value of having a “braintrust”/advisory group, SEO optimization, what’s trending on social media, why we should all be embracing Tik Tok and many other things that I do not understand but am eager to learn.
And while I am feeling like this social media generation has passed me by – I find it all fascinating, entertaining and inspiring. One of those trends that is popping lately (actually it probably isn’t trending anymore – lol) is this idea of Coastal Grandmother/Eclectic Grandpa style of dressing and decorating.
Think Maine, Connecticut (my coastal mother in law/grandmother is lucky enough to live here), argyle socks, needlepointing, sea glass, shells, quilts and nautical comfort. Or basically everything that Diane Keaton wears in Something’s Gotta Give (can you believe it has been 20 years since that film was released?!)
This is trend I can get on board with so I thought I would take a stab at selecting my favorite coastal/ eclectic comfortable and cozy sweaters to get you through the doldrums of February.
Hang in there everybody, Spring is around the corner.
By the way, I am not sure if you remember how great the soundtrack was from Something’s Gotta Give – but it is so so good – put it on while you are cooking dinner or having a drink after work – it will instantly make you happy. Play the SOUNDTRACK here.
