Dear Girls Weekends, I’ve missed you so.
I miss everything about you: the planning, the packing, the traveling, the bonding, the laughing, the gossiping and best of all, the stories that live on forever.
I can’t think of a more perfect place for a girls weekend than Mexico. There are so many great resorts to choose from, especially in Cabo. One of my best friends had her 40th birthday at a relatively new Auberge property called Chileno Bay a couple of years ago and I was fortunate enough to attend both the party (amazing) and the planning trip a few months before (lucky me).
Chileno Bay has everything you need for a great girls weekend – amazing food, delicious cocktails, swimming, a luxurious spa, gym, pool spin class (see below), and the rooms are spacious and modern. I loved everything about it.
You won’t want to leave the resort often but there are two spots you cannot miss:
- The most incredible cliffside restaurant, El Farallon, in the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
- Dancing afterwards at the Nowhere Bar.
Plus two other great hotel choices in Cabo: One and Only Palmilla and Las Ventanas.
P.S. It was on a trip to Chileno Bay that I first learned about CLEAR Security. The morning of our (very early) flight, my friend calmly breezed through security while I was an anxious mess worried I was going to miss our flight. She explained to me that she and her husband had recently signed up for this new service called CLEAR Security that allowed you to bypass lines and avoid having to show your ID. Sign. Me. Up.
One great perk is that your kids can go through the Clear security line with you for free until the age of 18. It is a phenomenal service that has the potential to expand into areas besides airport security such as sporting events and settings with large crowds like Madison Square Garden.
Not to mention, Clear was founded and is led by a female CEO so you know they have to be an amazing company. If you travel more than once a year, run, don’t walk to sign up for CLEAR.
