STEP INTO CHRISTMAS WITH ME! (The Admission’s Free)🎄

Despite this being my hands down favorite Christmas song, nothing could not be further from the truth.

This is the time of year to splurge and spend and spoil the ones you love.

Hopefully the guide below will help you do just that.

And if you need to get into the Christmas mood, just CLICK HERE (Volume UP!).

I also created a Spotify Playlist to enjoy while you are wrapping gifts or sipping Christmas Cocktails. Most of these songs are my family’s favorites that we have been listening to for years and years. And if you are anything like us, some will make you dance and others will make you cry, but all will put you in the Christmas spirit.

Check it out here: Trip Vignette Holiday Playlist.

Happy shopping!

“Published by Assouline, this coffee table tome paints a vibrant portrait of Cartagena, a beloved destination to both authors, designer Johanna Ortiz and Moda founder Lauren Santo Domingo. This limited-edition signed version comes wrapped in one of Ortiz’s exclusive silk pares inspired by the town’s rich hues and seductive architecture.” Buy it HERE or for the unsigned version, HERE ($95).
Marble Star Ornament, from Reed Smythe – this would make a great hostess, Dirty Santa, or teacher gift.
Can’t go wrong with these simple gold pieces: Gold Plated Cuff Bracelet (Under $100) and Gold Choker from Net-a-Porter.
Glossier Body Hero – Part soap/part body oil, this is the most delicious smelling, amazing-feeling soap I’ve ever used.
Here’s an article about an Apple alternative for wireless earbuds that are “cheaper than Airpods, and just as satisfying to use”: Mobile, Agile, and Worthwhile. At only $119, these are great find. Get your pair HERE.
Heywood Hill Ultimate Literary Gift: Bespoke Book Subscription from Heywood Hill in the Mayfair neighborhood in London: “A Year in Books is the most personalised book subscription service in the world, and makes the perfect gift for bookworms everywhere. Our dedicated team of bibliophiles read over 500 books a year and are experts at helping readers find the books that are just right for them.” How cool is that?
Westman Atelier Limited Edition Hair Pin: Great gift for busy moms on the go. “Customized with Westman Atelier’s open-heart logo, this pin is perfect for a casual bun or polished French twist. Suitable for any hair texture or density without creating kinks, this elegant hair pin complements just about anything.”
For anyone who loves their hometown (me!) or is homesick (college freshman?), My Hometown Puzzle from LL Bean is a perfect present.
Petite Plume makes the best pajamas – I have gotten these for my boys for years and last year I ordered them for my little niece and nephew so all the cousins could all match. The days of my boys being able to wear them are numbered since they only go up to size 14 (and they would prefer to be in jerseys and sweats) but I am hanging on while it lasts. They have the best holiday sheets and dog accessories too. Get everything here.
Reed Smythe Marbled Fireplace Matches. (My love of marble is well documented.)
I love the artist Paige Spearin‘s work – she creates whimsical, happy illustrations like this “Pink Holiday Bar”, “Skating Bunnies”, and “Apres Ski Martini”, available either in original or prints. They would make a great gift for the art lover in your life. The Christmas tree drawing at the top of the post is also a Paige Spearin.
Swatch Watch – These make the best gifts & range anywhere from $60-$150. (And by the way, not just for teens – I own three of them. They are really great to wear in the summer when dressing is more casual or for traveling when you don’t want to take your nicer jewelry. Great for a mom on the go as well.)
The very best sheets are linen sheets. Here’s the splurge version from Sferra that you will have forever: Sferra Linen Sheets. Here’s a great (and less expensive version) from Amazon: Linen Sheets from Amazon ($145). Nothing will make you happier than crawling into a bed made with linen sheets.
Found Birmingham: I just bought this table from them and love it. Check out their Instagram account or their store in Birmingham for great gifts, big and small.
Recipe for Buttery Parmesan-Herb Mini Crackers: Ingredients: 1 (11-oz) package min saltine crackers (about 6.5 cups), 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 1 Tbsp dried Italian seasoning, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt (such as Lawry’s), 1 ounce freshly grated Parmesan cheese (about 1/4 cup). 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place mini crackers in a large heatproof bowl; set aside. 2. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium low. Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and seasoned salt. Cook, stirring often, until fragrant, about 30 seconds. 3. Pour butter mixture over crackers in bowl, toss well until crackers are evenly coated. Transfer crackers to prepared baking sheet (it’s okay if they overlap). 4. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle crackers evenly with cheese and toss well to coat, Return to oven, and bake until crackers are lightly golden and crisp, 6-8 minutes. 5. Toss crackers, and let cool completely on baking sheet, about 30 minutes. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container at room temperature up to three days.

STEP INTO CHRISTMAS

Welcome to my Christmas song!
I’d like to thank you for the year,

so I’m sending you this Christmas card
to say it’s nice to have you here.

I’d like to sing about all the things
your eyes and mind can see.
So hop aboard the turntable.
Oh, step into Christmas with me, yeah.
Step into Christmas, let’s join together.

We can watch the snow fall forever and ever.
Eat, drink, and be merry,
come along with me.
Step into Christmas, the admission’s free.

Take care in all you do next year,
and keep smiling through the days.

If we can help to entertain you,
oh, we will find the ways.

So Merry Christmas, one and all.
There’s no place I’d rather be
than asking you if you’d oblige
stepping into Christmas with me.
Step into Christmas, let’s join together.
We can watch the snow fall forever and ever.
Eat, drink, and be merry,
come along with me.
Step into Christmas, the admission’s free.
