I am not sure if there are just more stripes this year than ever before or if it is just that I’ve recently realized how drawn I am to them – in clothing, interior design, accessories, bags, etc. – but either way, it’s a striped world lately and I am here for it. I recently appointed myself as President of the Stripe Club after unpacking in my hotel room on a business trip and realizing that every single item I packed for the three day trip had some form of stripe – one dress, one sweater, and three tops: all striped. I wore the striped sweater over the striped dress as an accessory – the true sign of an addiction!
A weekend selection of stripes for you is below. Enjoy!
Latest Mom/Life Hack: I found this weekly planner and keep it on the kitchen counter for our family and babysitter each week in an attempt to keep us organized and on the same page. Sadly this one is sold out but add your name to the list to be notified once it is back in stock.
I have this Staud dress in the striped version which is sadly sold out but they also sell it in black, white and navy. It would look great with a sweater tied around the waist – it is a flattering silhouette that you can dress up or dress down with the right shoes and jewelry. Great investment purchase.
La Ligne Skirt: Not stripes and I also don’t love how they styled this but the skirt itself is great and would look chic with tall boots and a black turtleneck IMO.
Blue & White Cashmere Sweater: La Ligne has the best color combinations in my view. This one would look great with light blue denim & some cool boots.
Random but I love how Naomi Olindo from Southern Charm styled hers with casual jeans and tan sandals.
Baby Blue & Melon: Tough color combo for this Bama fan but it is super cute.
I’ve seen these paired well with a white or blue button down. Also white t-shirt and sandals in the summer would be cute. You can buy La Veste items at Moda Operandi.
I like how this subtle stripe on an Ann Mashburn button down pairs with these Ganni Leopard Print Jeans.
Meeting the fabulous Martyn Bullard at Antiques in the Gardens in Birmingham.
Recently refreshed my den with a lot of stripes + floral.
I own this $37 bag from Gap and love it – it is great quality and can hold a ton of stuff including a computer, scarf etc. Would be great for traveling and for work.
Ashamed to admit how many times a week I go through the Dunkin Donuts drive through for not one, but two large ice teas (backup tea is essential – IYKYK). The orange and pink striped straws are really the icing on the doughnut. 🙂
